- Near-death experiences often provide profound insights into consciousness and reveal a purpose-filled existence, enhancing one's understanding and appreciation of life.
- Synchronicities and spiritual signs should be viewed as important, non-random events that invite individuals to pay attention to the deeper meanings in their lives.
- Many people possess latent spiritual sensitivities, such as clairvoyance and mediumship, often passed down generationally, that remain untapped due to societal constraints.
- Encouraging conversations on spirituality, especially among youth, can foster a healthier understanding of intuition and potentially mitigate issues like depression and violence.

SPEAKER_02I think most people's gifts really kick into gear when they've lost someone close to them. I think once you go through the process of someone dying, um, it changes your entire perspective. Uh, I lost my dad when I was 32, 31, and I was very close to him, but he had a brain tumor and couldn't could no longer communicate. And I showed up in the hospital one day, and he with his eyes, you know, was pointing to a chair that he and he was nodding to it. And I said, What? And then I heard in my mind, sit down, please. And he started to communicate with me telepathically. And I originally said, Dad, no, no, I'm not good at this. I I can't do it. And he said, Please sit down. And I sat across from him and I had a conversation with him. And um, we had gotten some very bad news about his prognosis, and he said to me, Um, I don't want to live like this. Please tell them to let me go. I don't want to be treated.
SPEAKER_01Welcome to the Transform Your Mind, the Transform Your Life radio, podcast, and television show, the where we explore the connection between mindset, healing, consciousness, and living your highest potential. I'm your host, Rennie Young, and I want to ask you a question. Have you ever had the feeling that turned out to be right or experienced a coincidence that seemed too meaningful to ignore? Some people call it intuition, other call it guidance. Still others believe it's our subconscious mind picking up on subtle clues. My guest today has spent a lifetime living with experiences that many people are afraid to talk about. After a successful 23-year career as a television executive, she decided to tell her story that she's kept hidden for decades. Her experience is what she calls a closeted clairvoyant. Today we'll explore intuition, near that experience, synchronicity is one of my favorites. And what happens when we begin trusting our inner knowing? Please help me. Welcome to the show, Kim Bandle. Welcome, Kim.
SPEAKER_02Thank you so much, Myrna, for having me. I'm so excited to be here.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I'm so excited for this conversation because I'm a curious being. So all these things that I talk about, I'm curious about it. I want to know what people's experiences, and I definitely want to talk to a closeted clairvoyant. So um your memoir is called Confessions of a Closeted Clairvoyant. And for years you kept this part of yourself hidden while building a successful corporate career. What finally gave you the courage to tell your story? And also including that story, what's the difference between clairvoyant and clairsentient and I know I think there's a third one.
SPEAKER_02I think there's five or something, actually.
SPEAKER_01Right, yes. So explain what exactly is a clairvoyant then, if you don't want to go into the others.
SPEAKER_02Um so I I didn't grow up with any of these words or terms, and I didn't grow up knowing anything about this industry, honestly. I just grew up, um, I'm the youngest of seven, and my I'm fourth generation female with these skills from my mother's side. Several of my siblings were sensitive, others were not. And we just grew up doing strange things, not having any idea it had something to do with a broader term or a broader life or anything of that nature. Um, I'd say about 10 years ago, a friend of mine told me I was clairvoyant. I I had to look it up. I didn't know what it meant. And I only use it because I did need a tagline for my book. I am probably more clairvoyant um than other things. I couldn't tell you which clairs I am, but I know I'm several of them. But the difference for me is that's not just what I am. I mean, I see spirits, I um am telepathic, I channel people's emotions. Like I have had a gamut of experiences. But because my family was um interesting and uh we went through the 60s and 70s pretty hard, or they did, I was too young. Um, there there was so much experimentation and discussion and transcendental meditation and talk of reincarnation that I just didn't think it was different. Um, when I was in uh high school, I had an experience that uh actually a religious experience. He gave me children. I know that sounds bizarre, but from the time I was little and was made to pray and I didn't know what to pray for, I started to um negotiate with God. If you give me that toy I want, I'll be nicer to my sister. And I I continued it literally throughout my life, and so that was my negotiation in high school. Um, I thought I was being called, I didn't want to be called, I was very social, I was a big partier, I wasn't going to do God's work, and that's the people can condemn me for that, but I didn't want it. So I made that deal. Um, as I got older, I did have three children, was told I couldn't have children, so um uh from endometriosis, and then I ended up having three. Uh, I got a little nervous that I hadn't written the book yet, and so when COVID happened, it gave me the time and the space to write. My kids were older, I didn't have to worry about them being dragged into being, you know, any naysayers or being ridiculed from their friends, and I got nervous. COVID was killing people, and I thought, I gotta get this book written. No one wants to go to the other side with without fulfilling their promise to God. Like, talents to death.
SPEAKER_01That is so true. That is so true.
SPEAKER_02So that was my impetus, honestly. And um, I I tried to make this fiction because that's how much I did not want to come out of the closet. And my father showed up, who had passed, literally showed up physically and said, No, this is not fiction. You need to write this book and you need to clear the air and you need to be honest, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So that's that's what happened. And um, I I will tell you that uh my grandmother, my great-grandmother, my great aunts red tea leaves. It's an old Irish custom. And one of them did it for business for business. I think in those days, once people learned about that and they were interested, um, people just started charging money for it. But my mom was afraid of it. But when she saw that I, from the time I was nine, she started testing me. She somehow realized that I could find things, and she had lost an earring that was very important to her, and she made me sit down and visualize where the earring went. And I got up, went to look for it, and I pretty much found it right away.
SPEAKER_01Right in the middle.
SPEAKER_02So she started testing me.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Um, and that's when I realized something was different.
SPEAKER_01Okay. All right. Well, I'm gonna circle back because we were pretty broad, and I I personally want to know, and I'm pretty sure listening artists want to know. So you didn't answer the question. What exactly is Claire for Wine? I know you said you can, you know, talk to spirits, which is a medium, um, and psychic, I think, is a totally different thing. Is it is a psychic the same?
SPEAKER_02No, uh well, a psychic and medium are similar. A psychic really has a a medium, is also usually psychic. The difference with a psychic is they don't go as high up into um the spirit world, they they are usually cannot communicate with spirit. So they know the medium they see a lot of things, but they don't usually communicate with spirit. Clairvoyance What is clairvoyant?
SPEAKER_01It's something about hearing, right?
SPEAKER_02It's knowing, feeling, hearing, smelling, sensing. So it's basically your senses, but it's also knowing. So um, I my into you know, my intuition is very high. My gut feeling has always been extraordinary to the point where I can't function unless I follow it. Um, that's gone on almost all of my life, and it's always, always, always been right, 100% right.
SPEAKER_01So all right, well, give us a practical thing other than the earrings. So that one is a simple one. Let's say um, you know, as you were talking, I remember one of the one of the people that I spoke to on the on the show said that maybe they're a medium, I guess, because they started seeing spirits come around with their bed, and you know, and theirs aren't seeing spirits, and that's how they know that they were able to communicate with the other side. So audited your mom testing you, what was a big thing for you that you knew that you were gifted?
SPEAKER_02I think most people's gifts really kick into gear when they've lost someone close to them. I think once you go through the process of someone dying, um, it changes your entire perspective. Uh, I lost my dad when I was 32, 31, and I was very close to him, but he had a brain tumor and couldn't could no longer communicate. And I showed up in the hospital one day, and he with his eyes, you know, was pointing to a chair that he and he was nodding to it, and I said, What? And then I heard in my mind, sit down, please. And he started to communicate with me telepathically. And I originally said, Dad, no, no, I'm not good at this. I I can't do it. And he said, Please sit down. And I sat across from him and I had a conversation with him, and um, we had gotten some very bad news about his prognosis, and he said to me, Um, I don't want to live like this, please tell them to let me go. I don't want to be treated, which is a lot to carry, so youngest of a family, and um my mom showed up shortly after, and I just said to her, I know you know that I'm different. This just happened, and um how do we, you know, adhere to his wishes? And so um that was really life-changing for me, and there was a lot around that that was also life-changing for me. The fact that you could communicate with someone like that, right?
SPEAKER_01Who's alive? Of course, when he died, you were able to talk to him, which means made you into the medium space, right? Because you said he came back and told you to write the book, right? Okay, yes, nice.
SPEAKER_02I've I've communicated with a lot of people, a lot, you know. Literally, 4th of July, I was on a friend's boat. We were sitting um docked in the in at the marina, and we'd been talking about his mom early on, and I knew his mom pretty well. And all of a sudden I look over and she's sitting right next to him.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02And I have to be careful, I have to be careful with that because he wasn't a big believer, but his wife was, and so I didn't say anything. I smiled and I I didn't say anything, and I thought, it's so it was so beautiful. Like, what do I do? And I did later tell his wife that yeah, they're they're Greek, and I said, Yeah, yeah, was sitting next to.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, that warms my heart. That warms a lot of people's heart that's listening. That yeah, you're I've heard that though.
SPEAKER_02I've heard I get it a lot. I mean, I have friends, all of a sudden their mother will come through and I'll just be like, Do I tell them? Do I not tell them? You know, when is the right thing?
SPEAKER_01You should tell them whether they believe it or not. That's what I would do.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Well, strangely, I'd say three-fourths of the people I've spoken to since I've come out of the closet, which was about 10 years, have had an experience of their own. This is not a minor, insignificant. I mean, there's no discrimination. It has nothing to do with where you're from or what you believe, or, you know, male, female. It's pretty worldwide that people have had maybe just one, but they're pretty emphatic that it was real and that it was true. And that I love. And I and I love, I mean, for me, I want the conversation. I want people to feel, you know, especially I at some point I hope to speak about this to high schools and colleges because I thank God at a mother who believed me. I've spoken to many, many, many people who work in this space who are almost always estranged from their parents. They were put in therapy most of their lives, and um, they're they were never accepted. And that breaks my heart.
SPEAKER_01So it's amazing because that is such a gift, and it comes from, you know, it's it's it's a it's like a talent that not everybody gets. So it's it's terrible that, you know, in the olden days, people would think you're a witch or something, but I'm sure that they don't think that anymore.
SPEAKER_02Oh, there's some of it, there is some of it still around. I mean, there definitely certain religions. Right. Right. I I mean, I have some friends who are struggling with it, you know, and I have and I've made a million new friends, but I have some friends who are struggling a little bit with it. And you know, they're like, Yeah, with with me and my book and you know, coming out. I mean, they're like, I don't really believe. And I'm like, well, can you give it a try? Because this is my life. This isn't uh, this isn't do I believe or don't I believe? This is just the story of my life. I mean, it's my personality, and I do believe it's a personality trait. I think some people are good at math, some people are good at sports, some people are good at music.
SPEAKER_01I I hundreds believe that it's a I'm not sure a personality trait, but I would say it's a talent. Like people can become an opera, you know, because they're born with that talent. You're born with the the intuitive clairvorence, medium, you know, and um and like you said, a lot of people, um, like you know, I think I interviewed someone that told me that at three years old, you know, she had an experience, but you know, stuffed it down because nobody wants it. You you think that it's you know what I mean? So, like your mom, you know, um tested you at nine years old because and if she tested you, she must have had some inclination that you were, which is why she tested you. But yeah, I think I think it's a great thing, you know.
SPEAKER_02I I do too. I mean, I I felt like it was a superpower for me, like I'd ripped my my shirt off and there's gonna be a big S on my chest. I mean, people ask me all the time, was it a burden? And there were times that it was overwhelming because I don't know if it's astrological or what, but there were times I went in and out of sensitivity where I was so sensitive, and then and then it could go away for months at a time. And I and I learned as I got older a little bit to be able to control it because um I did uh feel 9-11 coming and it was incredibly overwhelming. And I'm a New Yorker, and um, that was really not to the extent that it came, but I was calling other family members who are sensitive and I said something's happening in New York. I I was worried first about my mom, and I said it involves suicide, but I keep getting worse than suicide. What could be worse than suicide? Wow, and um just anyway, a doomsday premonition, yes, yeah, and I haven't had many of them, but that really, really weighed on me for several weeks before um the event.
SPEAKER_01And then when it happened, you realize that that's where it was coming from. Wow.
SPEAKER_02I didn't realize it right away because the magnitude was so much greater than I could have ever expected. But then then I realized it. And um, you know, I I I have to say, like the whole intuition thing, and you'll appreciate this because um, you know, they're they're talking a lot about how we should be teaching young adults and and teenagers intuition and how to trust their gut and how to believe in themselves. Because the country is really being affected by the bad behavior of young adults and teens and and the violence, and you know, so there's a way to speak to them that, you know, not just well, how was that party? Well, how did you feel at the party? You know, were you comfortable at that party? Um, you know, rape is up on college campuses. I don't want to go dark, but we need to really start to get people to trust their guts in instantly, maybe four o'clock, but it's pitch black out in the northeast, you know, in the middle of winter. You shouldn't, if you're alone, think twice before you walk across that campus. So it's it's I love that. And I also, you know, have been on calls um with site people in the mental health world who are being asked about things like near-death experience and religious experiences and spirituality, and they have no idea. They're not trained, you know. Um, they they're seeking out training in those areas because they've never been asked to address it before. And that I find fascinating. Um, like, where do young adults go if they're not accepted in their families? Where do they go? And that's something there's a lot of support groups out there. Not there, it's growing the young adult support groups, but there's got to be a place for them to go that they can seek on their own without going through their families. And that's really something that it's not my next book, but it's definitely some speeches that I want to give because that sits in my craw that that they feel alienated in that respect.

I have no psychic ability or clairvoyant ability or all that, but my intuition comes from my spirituality and and and and and being able to tap in it to guidance, right? So, and I've had when I told you I love the word synchronicities, I've had a lot of synchronicities in my life, and I know that it's coming from me being able to tap in to guidance. Um, you know, when I meditate, I open myself up and um, you know, uh try to communicate with my higher self and and God and Holy Spirit and all that stuff. And um, yeah, I may be a little bit, I wouldn't want to use queer boy, but I'm I'm a little bit um uh I don't even know the term. I don't want to, you know, sensitive. Right. That's a word. I'm a little bit, you know, sensitive to um uh things that are gonna happen or you know, stuff like that. Right. Right. And and and you're right, you're your gut, it's not gut. It's just sensitive and and new and stuff like that. But um uh but you opened up a good point, which is um uh the near dead experience, which is the the next question I have here for you. Um your bio mentions that you had a near dead experience. Um uh so can you talk to us about that and and uh what happened to transform your understanding of consciousness and purpose and what happens beyond what we see? And was this near that experience before the episode with your dad or after?
SPEAKER_02So it was before. It was after my episode with God when I made the deal with him to write a book. Um, that was my senior year in high school. This was my senior year in college. I went in for I'd I had had a bad knee um uh skiing accident in my teenage years and a lot of surgeries. And I had um I had minor surgery to remove a pin that I had rejected in my knee. And I literally flew in for president's weekend. It was a 45-minute outpatient's procedure. I was going back to school in two days, and the um anesthesiologist split my vein when he put the needle in and a blood clot went to my brain. And um fortunately, I woke up in intensive care, and the thing about this near-death experience is I had been obsessed with the subject before it happened to me. So, in in high school, we were we in a my religion class, I went to a Catholic school, we had to read a book on the subject, and I read two more books. I could not get enough of it. And you know, they're really amazing stories because they the the the common theme for all of them is love and the incredible, overwhelming love that they feel. So, my when I woke up, you know you've almost died. There's no doubt at all that you almost died. And even people who don't have this experience, they know something happened. So I mine was very much out of body. I watched them resuscitate me. I knew everyone in the room, I knew what the doctors looked like. When I woke up, I right away knew what was wrong with me. And I was screaming, get the needle out of my arm, get the needle out of my arm. And they were like, What? And they had it tied my whole arm up to the railing of the bed because I must have been waving it around. And I start ripping all the tape off and they said, What are you doing? And I look up at the nurse, I said, You heard me. I know you heard me. I've been telling you to take this needle out. She said, You you weren't awake. And they kept looking back and forth at each other at all the crazy things I was saying. And when hours later, when they rolled me out of intensive care, one of the nurses leaned into me and she said, It makes you feel any better. We hear this all the time. And I said, What? She said, different version, same story. That was in 1981. Okay, this has been going on a long, long time. And there's still not a lot of support from a hospital side, and I've I've given a lot, a lot of thought to that throughout my life because mine was medical. I woke up knowing what was wrong with me, and I've always wondered if I was supposed to do something with that. Um, once I started writing about probably eight years ago, I got back into this subject and I started listening again to podcasts and YouTube videos. And um, during COVID, there was a man who had sunk into a coma and then he started to really crash. Not religious, not raised with a God, not raised believing anything. And he had a near-death experience and went to this beautiful place with love and blah, blah, blah. And they told him it wasn't his time, he had to go back. He didn't tell anyone, but he went home once he was released and sunk into this deep depression. He's like, was everyone lying to me? It's like the reverse of people growing up in a religion and thinking, wait, that's not really real. You know, like he didn't grow up on anything. He's like, was I being lied to my whole life? His wife finally called the doctor and said, Something's wrong. You've got to see him, you know. And he finally fessed up to what was wrong with him. That broke my heart. And I thought, really, still, how is it that nobody can talk about this? And I'm on this mission now to put to put a brochure and information in hospitals, in all of the emergency, you know, in all the waiting rooms, in the emergency room, in intensive care. Um, because like that's it's it's not uncommon anymore. And I don't know if they're happy more or if people are talking about them more, but there's a lot of conversation about them now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, I have interviewed several. I mean, I I one of the ones that come to my mind right now is and I have an episode, is how an atheist became a believer from her near dead experience. Because yes, after you've seen God and you've touched it and and they send you back and you you no longer do not believe in God. And I've interviewed, I've interviewed a girl that almost had the same story as you, where she told them that if she was to go to the surgery or whatever she was having, that she was gonna die. And of course, they didn't take her anything. And then she went to the surgery and she actually did die and saw the whole thing, uh, you know, when she was floating over and all that. And and of course she came back. So um uh yeah, and then there I've spoken to people who were um, I think she was one of the ones that were the medical, I mean, what is it called? Um somebody that can look at your body and see what your problem is. What's that called again?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, uh medical medium.
SPEAKER_01Yes, right, right. It was a medical medium, so to understand uh what was going on with your body and things like that. So yeah, I mean, and and then I interviewed one girl that said that she was a witch and was burnt and all that. But those are the ones that I don't, I don't, I don't know if I believe that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But um uh, you know, here's what's important about near death experience, and I think they should be in part of the uh general conversate conversation, not just people who have them, is that there is this sense of purpose. First of all, you don't want to come back, and and that's confusing as it is because you're not suicidal. You just are like, well, why am I coming back when all the love is over there?
SPEAKER_01Beautiful, it's true.
SPEAKER_02But it's so beautiful. But you come back and you and you realize you have a purpose, you have a reason for being here, you have a reason that you've been sent back, and that is the most life-affirming thing I can imagine. And you know, even for me in college, like I knew I was sent back for a reason, like I had a purpose here, and that's why I think they're important to just a general conversation because they are so life affirming, and they're and they're also so comforting to know that we're going to somewhere amazing. I mean, I believe a great deal in energy. I think we're we we don't understand enough about energy, but I think we communicate with the others with spirits on an energy level. Um so wherever we're going, the energy is incredible and the love is incredible, and I think it's everlasting and eternal. And what could make anyone more comforted on this earth than knowing that? Like I think it would, I think it would solve depression. I think it would help people who are, you know.
SPEAKER_01Because people still don't want to go, they still want to stay here, regardless of how beautiful it is on the other side. They still want to, they still want to have life. But um, what I was saying with the girl that that was that mentioned to me that that she was a witch and all that kind of stuff, she called herself a light worker. And she tells me that there um there are quite a bit, a few light workers now. And they're like you would be a light worker. So people that you know are here for a purpose and and they can you know communicate with the other side and all that kind of stuff. And according to her, they're they're becoming more and more and more, which is why these conversations are becoming more and more, and it's happening to more and more people, just like how meditation infiltrated the West. So is these stories of um uh are infiltrating, and there's gonna be more of you. And then you mentioned that it's being passed down, so that means there's gonna be more and more people because it's um it's one of those gifts that you you pass on. Does your you said you have three children? Did any of them have it?
SPEAKER_02I have three. My middle son had it was quite a ride. Yeah, it's very different parenting um a child with this. Uh, and he he he was predicting natural disasters at a very young age. He also got very involved in 9-11 at six years old. Um but he he then became obsessed with tsunamis, like obsessed. The whole school was involved because kids were getting worried. And finally he's like, it's not coming here. I never said a tsunami. I live in California. He said, tsunami is not coming here. And I said, Where is it coming to? He said, Asia. And it was right before the the tsunami in Paquette. Um, right before. I mean, he had he had 15 books at home. He was seven years old on tsunamis. He had taken every book out of his school library and then made me take him across the street to get every book.
SPEAKER_01You know, they get the word through the spiritual myth. And and and that's what they um uh so wow.
SPEAKER_02Um so I I you know, and I didn't, you know, it's hard not to react, but I didn't also didn't want to scare him because he was the it brought with it a fair amount of anxiety for him, as you can imagine, even though he didn't think it was happening to him, he was carrying this incredible weight. And once it happened, the weight left lifted off his shoulders. He returned all the books to the library once the tsunami.
SPEAKER_01Uh okay. Yeah, all right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I had I had everyone calling. He he also was in therapy because he was suffering from anxiety, and the principal said, let's just make sure it's not something coming from school. And you know, the first after the first session, the therapist called me and said, I'm not picking up any learning disabilities, but what is the deal with the tsunami? And we're like, we don't, we don't know. We don't know where it came from, we don't know why. So anyway, when the tsunami hit in Asia, you can imagine, you know, a lot of very stunned people, including us. Um, and you know, you have to um the thing is, by the way, he grew out of that. And once I started writing, I asked him if I could write about him and his experience. And he said, yes, I'd actually like to read it because I was so young. I don't really know what happened. I don't know how it happened. I, you know, um, but you know, it's an it's it's also another thing that you know I like to tell parents, try not to react because it was actually my mother's reaction that made me realize I was different, right? I would not probably have known. And not that that's a bad thing, but make it a conversation, you know, with him. Like I just would always be like, Well, you know, what, you know, why, you know, I I would just try to converse with him about it.
SPEAKER_01Um, imaginary friends because he probably don't even understand it himself. So to put in language to it, no idea that's actually a good thing, right?
SPEAKER_02Yep, yeah, no idea. But you know, I did go find someone to turn both of us off for a while because it became very stressful.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's the question I had earlier because um uh the last um person that I interviewed is she was a psychic medium, and she tells me that she doesn't just go around reading people, she has to turn it on. So, do you have to do the same thing too?
SPEAKER_02Um, I I choose to sort of be on because for some reason, who's ever feeding me information, they do it very discriminatively. Usually when someone's in trouble, something something's just happens, some news came from a doctor, and I like the ability to help people. Um, I like the ability to call someone and say, okay, um, I'm coming over if you don't call me back right now. And I and I've done that. I just I call them hits, I just get hits about people. And they're not constant. So it's not, it doesn't, it's I I have had to turn off I had to turn off a friend who passed away. She she just was constantly delivering messages for me that she wanted me to give to other people, and I just was like, I don't even know that person, I'm not doing it.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, she found a messenger, not bad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Okay, but I I don't know, like I, you know, I had a friend who passed at 39, and he's in the book a lot, and he really, really was involved with the book. Um, believe it or not, very involved. And once I finished writing, I felt, are you guys all gonna go away? Like my a lot of people up there were involved in the book, and they really subsided, and it made me sad, actually, that it subsided.
SPEAKER_01Well, they have a message, and the message is the number they don't need to come back anymore. Yeah, yeah. And where was I? I was talking to somebody the other day that said that oh, right. Actually, it's a really interesting a very a personal friend said that her husband told her that when he died, he was gonna come back as a cool cat. And the very day he died, there was this golden cat that just stuck around stuck around her house and wouldn't leave. And she said it stayed for six months and then never came back. So I'm just wondering. Yeah, why didn't we?
SPEAKER_02Did she think it was him? Did she think it was him?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she knew she she sure it was him. Yeah, yeah. He told her he was gonna come back as a cat, and he's the cat showed up the very hours after he passed. I don't know if it happens that quick, but she said hours after, and it would it would be there in the driveway every day. It would come and meow right in front of her, jump the whatever, and it just stuck around for six months and then it left. So um, I don't know. So, like Europe I love that. You what since your people left, what would you think that someone would come for six months and then leave? Like they know that she's okay and that's what they're doing.
SPEAKER_02Yes, they know that she's okay, but I also think they move on a little bit. So I think um, you know, and they say some people don't know how to communicate right away, and some people communicate through other ways. I mean, uh they that's why the signs are so varied. Apparently, um, you don't just go to the other side and know how to communicate with this side, it's it's almost like a learned skill. It's like some people do it easily, some people don't. And some people can can come back as a physical thing, and some people can't. You know, hummingbirds are the number one sign for people who have passed. And that's and people who have never seen a hummingbird outside their window ever suddenly have a have lost someone, and the hummingbird shows up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. My daughter had a fiance that died, and she said that the bird, yeah, was by the window, right? Yes, but anyway, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I always I always say because um one of my siblings was really into signs growing up, and I sort of rejected them because everyone made fun of that sibling, and so I said they went right to words for me because they were trying with all the signs, and I was just not having it. And so I I just hear words because they just gave up on the signs.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, this is a good point. I asked the question. Um, like obviously, this cat, my my friend thought the cat was her husband, but the he never showed up in person. A cat can't speak to you, it just hangs out there and you think it's your husband, but then you just talked about the woman that showed up right next to her son, and people see people, you know. Uh, I've spoken to um uh some mediums that say that there's she wakes up and there's all kinds of spirits at this at the end of her bed. What is the difference? Is it because some of them are able to, you know, increase or lower their vibration? Because I understand that we're at a lower vibration and spirits are a high vibration. In order for the two connect, one person has to be able to raise their vibration and the other person has to lower their vibration. Is that your take on it? Or why do you think some people can embody people and some people can't?
SPEAKER_02I don't really know, actually, but I do think because um, you know, and a lot of mediums have said this that some like you know, some people communicate well and others do these their variety of signs and symbols that they have to interpret. And, you know, when my dad came to me, um, I actually had been to a medium show and he came through to the medium and told me a lot of things for my book. He wanted me to write about him as the man he was, not the dad he was. He told me he'd written love letters to my mom, which I found by the way from 1945. They were in a box somewhere. And um he he then he followed me home and I was home and I felt this.
SPEAKER_01But did you see him physically?
SPEAKER_02No, but what I was gonna say is his presence was so strong, I thought for sure, I thought it's gonna be like Star Trek. He was just gonna start to materialize. And um, I I I kept saying, Do it, Dad, do it. And I waited, like I was pretty sure I would pass out, but I waited to see if he was gonna materialize and he didn't, and I didn't see him. I was so disappointed. I mean, I was thrilled I didn't see him, but I was also, you know, part of me really wanted to do it, and I I think I felt him working on a very high, high level that I had never felt him at before, energy-wise. So I think that he still didn't know how to materialize. And I I don't know what it is.
SPEAKER_01It's a different thing, yeah. You've got to be, you've got to learn how to do it, and um, I think maybe that the people that know how to do it, maybe they started being spiritual beings on the this side of earth, so it was easier when they get over there. That's that's my opinion.
SPEAKER_02But that's a good thought because he he wasn't that spiritual, he was not that spiritual on this side of the earth, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. So when you go to the other side, you obviously will know how to do it because you're doing it here.
SPEAKER_02And I tell my kids all the time, too. If you get in trouble, oh, here's the other thing is I hear my name a lot, whether it's 3,000 miles away, I can I try not to hone in when someone's trash talking me. But occasionally I do hone in and I go, Why did you show me that? And it's usually a reason that I was shown, like it's it happened very, very infrequently, but there was a reason I was shown that that the person was upset with me, like that I hurt them personally, that you know, that's that's why they were talking about it. Um, but sometimes I'll call and freaks people out. Were you just talking about me? Oh my, and they're like, Oh my god. A friend of mine who I'm very connected to um spiritually, we were definitely connected somewhere along the line in other life. She was telling her kids and their friends one time, she was 25 miles away sitting on her porch, and I was home cooking dinner, and she said to them, She can hear her name. And they're like, No, she can't, no, she can't. And she said, Let's try it. And so they all sat around calling my name, and I was cooking. I heard it, and I heard call call call Krista, and I called her on the phone and they freaked out. And I said, Oh, testing me, are you? And she's like, How would you do that? But um, so that you know, you have to you have to hone in on what's important, and I think, and sometimes you're just too busy to pay attention. Um, but other times I have just learned to listen. And people say, Yeah, but that doesn't happen to me. And I said, It it might happen to you. You don't, you don't, you're not trusting it. Um, and for me, I will say my gut it was I didn't feel things up here, I did feel things in my gut, and that's that was a big difference for me. It's like it's and I and you know, dreams are a message, not all dreams, the muddy ones, the ones, but with the ones that stick with you that don't go away all day, that you can remember vividly the next day, those are dreams. I mean, those are messages, and we should pay attention to that.
SPEAKER_01You pay attention because they say that 10 minutes after you wake up, you forget your dream. So if you're saying that one of the ways to know that if it's uh from message from the other side is if you and that's basically how I, when I said that I'm sensitive, that's normally how I when I, you know, I I get it. It's either I wake up in the morning and it comes through, or I dream about it, or something like that. And but I have never people have come to me and say, you know, I I again, I'm not sure if I believe them, but say God told me this and God told me that. And I've never actually said that because I I, you know, you're supposed to listen, but I've never really heard anything. You know, I get gut and dreams and intuition and things like that, but I would never say God told me this or whatever, because I don't think that I I can hear God.
SPEAKER_02So, you know, but anyway, I I mean I've I've gotten I've got messages and I know people have gotten messages, and it's not that I can hear God, but I I from my years of negotiating have gotten some responses on occasion, and it's been very, very rare and very succinct and sometimes one word, but um they're they're clear. And I had I've had other people tell me the same. And you know, I mean, I always say, like, what is prayer? I mean, aren't you looking for an answer? Even if you're if you're praying to someone you've lost or a loved one or a child or a husband or a friend, you're hoping they answer. Like I I just hear them, and some people who are sensitive hear it, they get answers. Um, and so to me, they're all they're all souls, and you know, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm a very powerful prayer warrior because I I do something that I understand that you need to do. You've got to add your prayer with emotion, and you also have to believe, right? So I I get a lot of my prayers answered, but I've never heard God tell me it in words, right? I just get outcomes. So people can call it manifestations in this world. Yes. But um, you know, and you know, for instance, but that's your skill.
SPEAKER_02That's your skill. So people have different skills, just like in life. We all have different skills at different levels. That's your skill.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. Yeah, I I I think, and I believe too, you know, there's one time where I don't even know why I did it, but I had a a cousin of mine that was on life support, and his mother wanted to pull not his mother, his mother didn't want to pull it. They were telling her to pull it because he was Brain Dead or whatever. And he was in my wedding, and I took a picture and I prayed and prayed and prayed, and a couple hours after he woke up, and he's still alive. Wow. So I said that was my biggest one.
SPEAKER_02Wow, that's an amazing story. Maybe you should write a book. That's a great story.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But the fact is that you know, you know how you have to believe in order to do that. You know what I mean? You have to believe that you can you can make a difference. And when my sister is dying of cancer, I uh she wasn't dying of cancer, sorry, she had stage four cancer, and I prayed very hard. My mama said, as soon as my mom heard that she was at stage four cancer, the first thing my mom says, she says, You're a prayer warrior, you need to pray. And I took that as a go. Yeah, and I prayed and prayed and prayed, and she's okay now. You know what I mean? She's okay now. I don't take credit for that one, but I, you know, prayer always works and prayer is good or whatever, but I took credit for the one where I laid hand in the picture.
SPEAKER_02Yes, for sure, for sure. I don't know. I mean, I I believe in prayer also. So maybe, you know, there are enough people praying for your sister that it uh turned around.
SPEAKER_01I believe in that too. I've said, you know, I've had um this this woman come on and and told me that there's so many people praying for a son and he still died because it doesn't always work, it it's it's God's work or whatever. So, but you you you do what you can and you try to influence, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And she wasn't mad at God, she was just, you know, she was on the show. She had a she built a foundation for her son and carrying on his name and all that because he was he was quite young. So, but yeah, they had the whole um a big huge prayer group praying and praying and praying. All right, so let's talk a little bit more about um exploring dreams and signs and synchronicities. Um, do you believe these experiences are random coincidences or are they invitations to pay attention? And how can our listeners become more aware of these moments in their own lives?
SPEAKER_02I I think they're definitely invitations to pay attention. Um, I'm trying to get my son to do this right now to write down at the end of the day um things that he felt were going to happen. He's in sales. So I said, just write down, figure out what you think someone's gonna do and write it down and then see how often you're correct. Um, because that happens to us, you know, a lot. Like I I had found a friend, a picture of a friend the other day when she was visiting 10 years ago, and I grew up next door to her, and I realized yesterday I forgot to send it. And so all of a sudden, middle of working, I just went, Oh, I forgot to send that photo. And I sent the photo, and she was on the beach with her brother talking about my book, and they freaked out. They freaked out. That's something you would write down because that is what you're saying. That is synchronicity, and I do do that a lot, so I don't need to write it down, but other people, you don't remember it always at the end of the day, and I think it's important to really start to recognize it and see that it works and see that it's actual real, really that it's real, just for you to even believe it. And um, you you know, like anything else, you can practice.
SPEAKER_01I just start writing mine down because Deeplock Trooper is the one that introduced me to synchronicities, and my very first book that I wrote um spent a whole bunch, a whole chapter on synchronicities, because I had a lot of them happening in my life. Um, so but you're right. Um, now that because if I'm saying that I'm sensitive and I'm saying that I'm able to predict or whatever, you're right. The only way you can know for sure is if you write it down before it happens, and then when it happens, then you know. So that's a that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_02And even after it happens, write it down so you know it happens. Yeah. So you remember that it happened.
SPEAKER_01Right, exactly. So that's a very good thing for anyone that's listening that um think that they are able to predict things and you know they're they've got an open doorway to the other side, and they get into into intuitive hits, then you you know you should write it down, which is why Deep Rock Trooper again says at the end of the day, you should always reflect. You know, I don't always do that because probably I don't write things down, but um, but yeah, um thank you for that. And then start paying attention.
SPEAKER_02Yes. The important thing too about writing it down is maybe you were given that information not for the reason you thought.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So sometimes the reason becomes apparent later or the next day that oh, I wasn't supposed to do that, I was supposed to do this. And um, I think you going back and looking that you had actually written that down is is pretty freaky when you realize, okay, I had that thought, I just thought it was for a different reason. And and that's the other fun thing about writing it down, is because you know, sometimes we interpret it incorrectly. Um, even even dreams, I've had dreams where I just could not figure them out. And sometimes, you know, they're just visitations, especially if you've had people on the other side, they just they also visit through dreams and it's not for a message. They just want it want you to see them and want to say hi. But I have had dreams where I've just not been able to shake them and I could not, for the life of me, interpret them. That I've actually had to go to somebody and say, Can you help me figure out what this means? Because it was definitely a visitation. I mean, it was definitely I'm you know, something I was being told. Um so you know, it's it's we don't always get it right the first time, and that's what's that's what's important about you know, really sort of paying attention to it.
SPEAKER_01That's great. So do you think that um obviously you think that you were born with it? Do you think there's a lot of people that are born with this skill that uh you know go their whole lives without even, you know, um realizing it? Is that possible?
SPEAKER_02Yes, I think they realize it. They don't want to voice it, they don't want to talk about it. Um, I think they do realize it. And that's that's what's been so fun for me with this book is because people are talking about it for the first time in their lives. I mean, I had a friend who's just said, and she has a terrible reading disability, so she hasn't even listened to it, but she hosted an event for me. And so she we, you know, and it was like two hours of conversation. I'm like, don't you guys want a glass of wine, or you know, I have all these hors d'oeuvres? And nobody wanted that. Everyone wanted to sit, sit and talk. And she just thought, why am I being so closed off? Like, why don't I be more open? And it just changed her life. And um, she had had a lot of loss early in her life of immediate family members, and she'd sort of just shut down and she finally went to a medium and found out her mother's death wasn't what she thought it was. Like there was all this stuff that she'd been carrying that wasn't even true. So, you know, it it and that's what I love is people just you know, talking about it. And I've had I've had friends, they'll tell me an experience, and then they'll say, Oh, here's here's a weird one. We were sitting in it with a group um having dinner, uh uh like a mom's line out, and I started talking about what I was writing about, and every people were asking questions, and then we were eating and it got quiet, and one of the women says, I could move my doll's arms when I was little. And we went, What? And she said, and I had a pet rock. If it wasn't close enough to me on my nightstand, I could move it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_02And I said, telepathically, right? And she said, Yes. And wow, I'm like, have you ever told anyone this before? She said, only my husband, huge, and so I picked up the whole next day. Her mother, who have never met, don't know anything about her, was with me the whole next day. And I finally called her and I said, Wow, is it possible your mother had this skill? She's like, Oh, I don't know. And I said, Can you ask her? And um, her mother wouldn't talk about it. I said, That's okay, my mother wouldn't talk about it. I've probably had five conversations with her where she's told me of a new skill that she's willing to share, and that her grandmother um would sit up in bed and and channel people, messages for people, and she'd wake up in the morning, remember it, and call the person. Always correct. I said, Your poor grandfather, how did he live with that? I don't know how you do that, but so she's given me a little bit of her at a time, um, but fascinating, you know. So people keep this to themselves. It's really that's crazy the stories people have told me. And and now they're willing to talk about it. But you know, there was just no forum really for people to talk about this before.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's what podcasts do, they open people's eyes. That's what your book does. Open people's eyes. And if they have this intuitive thing and they they bypassed it, now they'll start to pay attention. And like you said, write it down and see if it comes through and these things. So that is amazing. I love in our conversation, Kim. So, all right, so we're almost out of time. So before you go, tell our listeners about your memoir, Confessions of a Closeted Clairvorrant, where they can find it, where they can connect with you online to learn more about your work.
SPEAKER_02Um, I I have a website, KimsBantel.com. Um, and I have uh under the more section, I have a whole list of information, books, support groups, a whole section on near death experience. Um I'm a research nerd, so I love I love all of this. University of Virginia has started an entire department in their medical in their medical college called um they're they're trying to they're trying to prove that consciousness survives death. It's called the study of perceptuals study a school of perceptual studies. And all these terms, they have medical terms, they have medical terms for a medium, they have medical terms for a psychic. They it's fascinating. So this is not this is not people. I mean, they're no longer questioning that we're communicating, they're trying to figure out how. And that is really exciting. So that and more is on my website because I I just love that. I think it's very cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and you said your book is on audible.
SPEAKER_02My book is on audible, it's on Amazon.
SPEAKER_01Um I mean, when I say audible, I mean yes, I do have audible audio form is out.
SPEAKER_02In audio form, right, yeah. Amazon Audible, Apple Books.
SPEAKER_01Uh that's how I consume my books, right?
SPEAKER_02Okay, yes, me, me, me as well. I do I wanted it to come out as fast as I could get it out. So um, but you can order it if it's not at the bookstore, you can order it. It's um barnsandoble.com um and and Amazon.
SPEAKER_01Okay, beautiful, beautiful. It sounds like a really good read. And um uh what it does is it opens you up to possibilities and understanding, and it's interesting that we should close on what consciousness survives um debt, because a lot of the the gurus like Deepak Trippur are saying that does not. So I'm interested in your work on that.
SPEAKER_02Oh, interesting. Yes, that is interesting. I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Do you believe it, Des?
SPEAKER_02Um, you know, I believe we're able to communicate somehow or another. I also believe very strongly in reincarnation. I've seen two of my past lives.
SPEAKER_01So I I believe in reincarnation too. Consciousness is a different story, consciousness is awareness. I mean, yeah, would you wear if you're if you're doesn't have a body or a mind or whatever that's oh I yes, I think for sure, yes. I don't we don't need our bodies, it doesn't pass on. So I'd be interesting to see what the what their work is. Yes, yes, very curious person.
SPEAKER_02Same, same. I love that. That's why we're here, right?
SPEAKER_01That's right. So we're here talking about this. People are not curious at all, you know. Some people are not curious beings, but I'm a very curious person. And they're brave. That's why I love this work, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, all right, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, listen, Transformers, this has been a good one. This has been a good conversation. I hope it expanded your mind, and um, hopefully, you know, it's now blown. You weren't, it wasn't pre-blown, it's now blown up by the information that Kim shared with us. So thank you for joining us for another episode of the Transform Your Mind to Transform Your Life. So, um uh Kim, as we wrap up, any last words?
SPEAKER_02Uh, I just want to say that um I try to make my book as friendly as possible. So it's not, it's a it's an easy read. So for people out there, you're not gonna be overwhelmed. Well, you might have your mind open a little bit, but you're it's not overwhelming. It's it's a fun, it's a fun, easy read.
